#TotalAFCON2019: South African referee Victor Gomes to officiate Ghana-Tunisia game

Published on: 08 July 2019

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed South African referee Victor Gomes to handle tonight’s round of 16 clash between Ghana and Tunisia.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 7pm at the Ismailia Stadium.

Kwesi Appiah’s men are seeking to continue their dominance over the North Africans.

After the countries drew a 1963 group game, the Black Stars defeated the Carthage Eagles in Tunis to win the 1965 final and begin an amazing six-match, 54-year winning streak.
