Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah has urged his teammates to stay focus as they prepare to face the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Monday.
Despite accepting his side as the favourite for the game, the Columbus Crew defender insisted being the favourite doesn’t mean you are there. He also called on his teammates to push hard in order to get the victory against the Tunisians.
“If you are one of the favourite it doesn’t mean you are there, we have all seen the surprises so we have to stay focused and push hard”
“It is going to be an interesting game, round of 16 game, knockout game and I know it will be good and the team will do everything possible to make the next stage” He told the media at the Pre-match presser.
The Black Stars are looking for their second win in the competition after beating Guinea-Bissau in their last group game.
