Tottenham Hotspur are considering a January loan bid for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to a report intheMirror.

Isco, 24, started the season out of favour under Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane but has become more prominent in the Real team during October.

The Spaniard has scored two La Liga goals and recorded an assist in his past three league games, but is still awaiting a new contract from his club.

Gareth Bale recently signed new terms with the La Liga giants, joining the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in recently signing new deals with the club. Isco has not yet received any contact over a new deal, despite entering the final 18 months of his deal.

Spurs, whohave drawn their last three Premier League games, made an enquiry for the former Malaga attacking midfielder during the summer but decided against pursuing the possible transfer.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly a big fan of Isco, but could face competition from league rivals Chelsea should Real indicate they are willing to sell.

Spurs have the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela at their disposal in attacking midfield but Isco could provide a different option, with Tottenham currently lacking invention and struggling for goals with the absence of Harry Kane through injury.

Speaking last month, Isco claimed he never thought about leaving Real over the summer.

"The club said nothing and I never looked for anything to leave. In the end, I'm responsible and that's where I must improve.

"There are ups and downs and I won't give up, I fight to the end and want to prove that I'm fit for Madrid."
