Tottenham want to hire their former midfielder Scott Parker as a coach.

The 36-year old announced his retirement from football on Wednesday after a career that saw him play for Charlton, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle, Spurs and his latest club, Fulham.
Parker also earned 18 caps for England during his career.
The Daily Mail reports that Parker has been in discussions with Spurs for some time over the possibility of taking on a coaching role in the club's academy.

Parker spent two years with the north London club between 2011 and 2013.
