Spurs bettered Manchester United's Premier League mark for the Wembley clash against Liverpool.

United have held the record since their win against Blackburn at Old Trafford 10 years ago, which saw 76,098 fans witness the 4-1 victory.

But Spurs surpassed that total with a record-breaking 80,827 fans watching on as Mauricio Pochettino's side faced Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in Sunday's late kick-off.

The record-breaking attendance is in stark contrast to their Carabao Cup game against Barnsley where only 23,926 turned up for the third-round game - a third of the stadium's capacity - and 26,251 for the pre-season friendly against Juventus.
