Tottenham to upgrade Pochettino contract amid Real Madrid interest

Published on: 15 February 2018

Tottenham are ready to hand Mauricio Pochettino a new contract.

The Mirror says Pochettino a new deal to help ensure he leads the club into their £850million, 61,000-seat stadium.

Pochettino has still got three years of his contract left, but the club's top brass are keen to reward his progress.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain — where he had a spell as a player — are keen on the Argentinian, who has established himself as one of the best young managers in Europe.

Despite Pochettino having a deal to 2021, Spurs are willing to hand him a fresh deal if he snubs the growing interest from Spain and France.
