Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen is the most successful shooter from long distance in the Premier League since the 2014-15 season.

The 24-year-old has become renowned for his ability from range and free-kicks, and Squawka have revealed the Dane has been more successful with his long shots than some of the most shot-happy midfielders in the Premier League.

Eriksen has hit the back of the net when placed outside of the penalty box an impressive 10 times, ahead of Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson as well as Manchester City duo Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero.

The former Ajax midfielder scored an impressive 10 Premier League goals during the 2014-15 season, including a number of late winners from range against Hull and Sunderland while he also bagged two free-kicks in one game against Swansea last season.

Coutinho has become well known for a lack of shyness when given an opening from range, scoring famous stunners against Chelsea and Arsenal, while Aguero and Sanchez are two of the leading scorers in the league this season but cannot match Eriksen's tally from strikes outside the box.

Spurs will be hoping for another of Eriksen's specialist efforts when they travel to Sunderland on Tuesday night.
