In the past weeks, news has emerged that Afobe will leave Trabzonspor. The reason for those rumors was that the manager of the player, Erdi Demir, came to Istanbul from Brussels and met with the manager of Trabzonspor.
However, the Trabzonspor manager told Demir at this meeting:
"We are following some of the players in his hand. One of them turned out to be Tetteh,"
Trabzonspor manager told Demir, “We need a player like Tetteh. He is tall, can play with his back facing the castle. We are looking for a striker who can head balls. We took Afobe but it didn't work. We've been watching him for a while. We will follow it more closely from now on,” he said.
After this meeting, Demir had a meeting with Tetteh. The Ghanaian player, who came on loan from Sparta Prague, scored a goal in the Malatyaspor match. Malatyaspor with Tetteh will face Besiktas tonight.
