Traveling from Oda to Cape Coast to play home games is punishment - Kotoku Royals PRO Okatakyie Afrifa

According to Kotoku Royals Public Relations Officer, Okatakyie Afrifa, traveling from Oda to Cape Coast to play their home games is nothing short of a punishment.

The Akim Oda-based team is now last in the Ghana Premier League standings despite having advanced to the Premier League from Division One League Zone Three.

They had to play their home games at Cape Coast Stadium because their Akim Oda Sports Stadium failed to meet the criteria set by the Club Licensing Board of the Ghana Football Association.

“The biggest worry is that, when the Oda Sports Stadium was not ready for us to play our games, the whole Eastern Region didn’t have a standard pitch which Kotoku Royals can play," Okatakyie Afrifa told Radio Gold Sports.

“So Kotoku Royals from the Eastern Region in Oda we had to go all the way to the Central Region in Cape Coast to play our home games,"

“And I think this is the biggest punishment the club has been going through this season and it is not nice,”
