Black Queens' Janet Egyir was adjudged the best defender at the just ended Turkish Women’s Cup tournament in Turkey.

Egyir played a key role in helping Ghana finish as the second-best team in their group with a trophy.

She figured in all three games for coach Mercy Tagoe's side as they claim six points having lost to Chile and thrashing Northern Ireland 4-0 in their first two games.

Ghana finished second in Group B in their debut campaign at the tournament with a 3-1 win over Kenya 3-1 Tuesday.

The Black Queens are expected to arrive in Ghana soon to get ready for a crucial qualifying eliminator to the 2020 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations later in June.
