U-23 AFCON: Ghana coach Ibrahim Tanko names strong starting eleven for Mali game

Head coach for the Ghana Black Meteors team, Ibrahim Tanko has named his starting eleven to face Mali this evening in the final Group A match of his side in the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The team is on the brink of elimination after drawing their first game against Cameroon and subsequently going on to lose to host nation Egypt in their second game.

In need of a win to have a lifeline, Coach Tanko has decided to field a very strong starting eleven.

Goalkeeper Kwame Baah maintains his place in goal with the usual back four from the first two games.

The notable change from the squad is striker Kwabena Owusu whose place has been taken by forward Ruben Polley.
