Head coach of the Black Meteors Ibrahim Tanko has invited eight foreign-based players to strengthen his team ahead of their 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria.
Ghana will travel to Annaba for the first leg tie against Algeria on Friday, March 24 before the reverse fixture at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 28, 2023.
Tanko has been training with the home-based players couple weeks ahead of the final round of the qualifiers.
The former Black Stars assistant coach who is poised to secure qualification to the tournament has included eight foreign-based players to bolster the squad for the match.
Fatawu Issahaku and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who made the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup have been called up to join the Black Meteors.
FC Nordjaelland youngster Ernest Nuamah who has been in a rich vein of form has been handed call up.
