Sporting Lisbon attacker Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has urged Ghanaians to come out in their numbers and support the Black Meteors book qualification for the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Ghana U-23 national team will take on their Algerian counterparts on Tuesday in the reverse fixture of their final qualifying round at Baba Yara Sports Stadium after securing a 1-1 draw in the first leg on Friday.

The 19-year-old winger scored a wonder goal from his own half to give Ibrahim Tanko’s side the lead but the hosts levelled with a late penalty.

The Black Meteors now have the away goal advantage heading into Tuesday’s game that will determine who qualifies for the 2023 U-23 AFCON.

“Hello, Ghana. My name is Issahaku Abdul Fatawu, a player from Sporting Lisbon,” he said in a video posted by the Ghana Football Association.

“We are here to play for the nation and Black Meteors, we need your support on the 28th of this month, that will be on Tuesday.

“We need your support; come out and support us to qualify for the AFCON.”

The game is expected to kick off at 1 pm at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
