Timothy Chandler suffered a knee injury in Eintracht Frankfurt's 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The United States international went down without being touched in the 35th minute and grabbed his knee.
He was replaced by Carlos Salcedo in the 37th minute, and Eintracht said the injury needed further evaluation.
