U23 AFCON: Ghana striker Emmanuel Yeboah named MoTM after brace and assist against Congo

Ghanaian striker, Emmanuel Yeboah has been adjudged the Man of the Match after the game between Ghana and Congo on Sunday.

Ghana today played against Congo in a Group A encounter of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Talented Emmanuel Yeboah scored a brace in 45 minutes to lead the Ghana U23 team to beat Congo 3-2.

He did not start the match today but was introduced into the game at halftime to replace Ghana captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

Just four minutes after coming on, the CFR Cluj man assisted teenager Ernest Nuamah to score to give Ghana the lead.

Later in the 74th minute, talented striker Emmanuel Yeboah was presented with a fine opportunity when he made a smart run behind the defense of Congo.

He controlled the lob pass with his head before placing the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-0 for his side.

Yeboah went on to score his second in the 82nd minute via the penalty spot.

After a game that ended 3-2 in favour of Ghana, Yeboah has been named as the Man of the Match.
