Talented Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Yeboah scored a brace on Sunday afternoon to lead the Ghana U23 team to beat Congo 3-2.

Ghana today played against Congo in a Group A encounter of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

In a game played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, the Black Meteors struggle to create chances in the first half and had to settle for a draw at the break.

During recess, Ghana coach Ibrahim Tanko made two changes including a substitution that saw Emmanuel Yeboah replacing captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

Just four minutes after coming on, the CFR Cluj man assisted teenager Ernest Nuamah to score to give Ghana the lead.

Later in the 74th minute, talented striker Emmanuel Yeboah was presented with a fine opportunity when he made a smart run behind the defense of Congo.

He controlled the lob pass with his head before placing the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-0 for his side.

Yeboah went on to score his second in the 82nd minute via the penalty spot.

Although Congo would score twice in injury time to finish the game strongly, the side could not complete a comeback as Ghana held on to win 3-2.
