UCL: Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus features for Ajax in 4-2 defeat to Napoli

Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus was in action for Ajax on Wednesday evening when the team locked horns with SSC Napoli.

The Dutch giants today played as a guest to the Italian Serie A side in a matchday 4 encounter of the group stages of this season’s Uefa Champions League.

Just two minutes into the first half, Hirving Lozano scored to shoot SSC Napoli into the lead.

Later in the 16th minute, Giacomo Raspadori also found the back of the Ajax net to send the home team into the break with a commanding lead.

Four minutes after the break, Davy Klaassen scored to half the deficit for the away team. Although that gave the team hope, talented Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also scored in the 62nd minute to increase the lead for SSC Napoli.

In the 65th minute, Mohammed Kudus was substituted from the game and replaced by his compatriot Brian Brobbey.

Two more goals from Steven Bergwijn and Victor Osimhen cancelled out as Napoli secured a 4-2 win to complete the double over Ajax in Group A.

The result means Napoli stays top of the group while Ajax sits third on the log.
