Unity won Asante Kotoko the GPL title - Nana Yaw Amponsah

Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah says unity among the players, technical team and fans played a key role in helping the club win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.

The Porcupine Warriors emerged as winners of the league with three matches left to play to the end of the season.

After a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold on Thursday at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, Kotoko currently have 60 points, 10 more points than second-placed Bechem United.

"Togetherness, first and foremost, unity in the team” he said aiding us to win the league," Nana Yaw Amponsah told Akoma 87.9 FM.

"From the Board to the Management, supporters leadership, supporters in particular and at Kotoko, unity always does the trick. And the next thing was preparation and then hardwork because we put a lot into it and I congratulate everyone."

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum side's will be crowned champions of their 25th Premier League title on Sunday June 12, 2022 when they host Elmina Sharks on match week 33.
