Ghana international, Thomas Partey is set to spend several weeks on the sidelines after aggravating his right thigh injury.

Last Monday, the Black Stars asset started for Arsenal when the team played as a guest to London rivals Crystal Palace to battle for points in the English Premier League.

In the second half of the game that Arsenal lost 3-0, Thomas Partey suffered an injury and had to be substituted.

Today, a club statement from his club has confirmed that he will be out for multiple weeks.

“Our No. 5 was substituted during Monday night’s game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after aggravating his right thigh.

“Thomas has since received further assessments, and a subsequent scan has shown muscle damage to his right thigh.

“We will continue to assess Thomas in the coming weeks, during which time he will also receive further specialist consultations,” parts of the Arsenal statement issued on Thursday have said.

The club statement adds, “Everyone will be working hard to get Thomas back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
