The Upper East Region Club administrators on Thursday held a meeting at the house of Chiefs to deliberate on the regions football following Ghana's Normalization Committee to organise a Special Football League for the country's topflight teams and second-tiers.
The meeting however ended with club administrators in accord on organising a novelty league for the second, third Divisions and Basic Women League in place of the truncated 2018 season.
The Novelty league is slated to kick off on February, 16 2019 which will be honored in home and away basis.
All clubs are supposed to submit letters of confirmation of participation by January, 23 to the Regional Football Association (RFA) Secretariat. Clubs will be zoned into six and two qualifying from each Zone for Champion of Champions.
Zonal winners will be awarded with Faint Trophy, a set of jerseys and an undisclosed sum.
