VfL Bochum fans may soon have reason to celebrate as their star offensive player, Christopher Antwi-Adjei, appears to be on the verge of a comeback after the international break.

Head coach Thomas Letsch expressed optimism about Antwi-Adjei's recovery in an interview with the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung on Tuesday.

Antwi-Adjei has been sidelined for the last four games due to a muscle injury, but his rehabilitation seems to be progressing well. The player is currently undergoing individual training, which is expected to conclude after a secret test on Wednesday. The upcoming days off following the test could be a turning point in his recovery, as Letsch hinted that Antwi-Adjei might rejoin the team after this period.

"There is hope that they will join the team after the days off. We are very optimistic that it will work," Letsch said, referring to Antwi-Adjei's return.

Bochum will resume preparations for their crucial game against bottom team Darmstadt 98 on Monday.

Antwi-Adjei has played 20 games, scored one goal and assisted two in the Bundesliga this season.
