In one of the more bizarre moments of the season, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was caught thoroughly washing his hands, after greeting his West Ham counterpart Slaven Bilic and his assistants during Monday night's Premier League action.

The Italian boss shook hands with Bilic ahead of kick off at the Olympic Stadium, adhering to the fair play tradition associated with the sport. However, fair play soon turned to some sort ofpretentiousness as Conte used a water bottle to wash his mitts immediately after.

Naturally, those on social media spotted the incident and posted the video to the relevant platforms. Conte has yet to explain his strange actions, but it is unlikely that the likeable boss was being rude. Maybe he is just a clean freak?

Nonetheless it was a happy night for the West London club. withthe Blues winning 2-1 against their city rivalsto extend their ten point lead at the top of the Premier League table, thanks to goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
