VIDEO: Arsenal Legend Ray Parlour Declares What Would Make Him Put on a Tottenham Hotspur Shirt

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has revealed to talkSPORT (via theExpress) what one condition would see him put on a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.

His declaration comes just a day after Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher angered many Reds fans by being pictured wearing the colours of their Merseyside rivals Everton.

Carragher has openly admitted to being a boyhood Toffee and though his allegiances have remained with Liverpool ever since he joined the club as a youngster, he was required to wear an Everton shirt whilst fulfilling his media duties with Sky Sports.

As fans and former players alike have their say on the matter, Parlour was asked by talkSPORT presenter whether he would perform a similar act and put on the shirt of Arsenal's bitter north London rivals Tottenham.

Having initially insisted that he wouldn't do it, it was suggested to Parlour, in jest, that he could receive a financial reward for the deed and having initially declined the offer of £100, the man dubbed the 'Romford Pele' was all too happy to agree to wear a Spurs shirt for £1000.

It remains to be seen whether Parlour will stick to his original condition, but this incident alone demonstrates the lengths some will go to in order to avoid putting on the dreaded shirt of their local rivals.
