Coach Chris Hughton supervised his first training session as Black Stars coach at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The former Brighton and Nottingham Forest manager has signed a one and half year contract with the Ghana FA.

Right after his unveiling, Hughton returned to Accra to lead the Black Stars team to open training.

Hughton held his first training session with eight players ahead of their trip to Kumasi.

The 63-year-old invited 25 players for the games, with only Tariq Lamptey withdrawing from the squad due to injury.

However, FC Koln defender Kingsley Schindler has been handed a late call up to replace the Brighton defender.

The seventeen players are Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew, Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru, and Edmund Addo.
