Ghanaian boxer Patrick Allotey allegedly assaulted a supporter of Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday afternoon during the Super Clash with bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
In a match filled with tension and emotions, the Porcupine Warriors managed to cruise to a 2-1 defeat against the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In a video making rounds in the media space, the boxer identified as Patrick Allotey is spotted in a heated confrontation with one Kotoko supporter who was busily hovering around his head.
Though it is unclear what caused the misunderstanding, the alleged boxer who is yet to be confirmed as Patrick Allotey due to the fact that his face is not properly shown smashes the face of the fan.
He ends up giving the fan a deep cut similar to the one boxers get during bouts.
Boxers are not supposed to throw punches outside the ring and hence if this is really Patrick Allotey and the video is not doctored, it will be a show of unprofessionalism which will attract sanctions.
