Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, a former Asante Kotoko coach, met the squad at their training base in Accra, where they are currently preparing for the new season.
Dramani, who is now an assistant coach with the Black Stars, led the Porcupine Warriors to a double in 2014.
He spoke to the technical team of the club and then motivated the players.
In other news, the Kumasi Asante Kotoko began their pre-season campaign with a comfortable win against Panthers FC at Accra's Legon Park on Monday morning.
Panthers FC scored twice early in the game but was unable to keep their posture as the Ghana Premier League champions battled from behind to win. Stephen Amankona, Ernest Osei Poku, Steven Mukwala, and Afoakwa scored for the Porcupine Warriors.
