Ghanaian international, Kwabena Owusu marked his debut with Spanish third lower division side Córdoba CF on Sunday as they beat Recreativo Granada 2-1 at home.

The youngster recently joined the club following his exploits with the Black Stars at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.

Prior to the weekend fixture, he enjoyed two training sessions with Córdoba and impressed his technical handlers.

Head coach Enrique Martín handed him his debut though he started from the substitute bench. Owusu was introduced on the 72nd minute to replace Sebas Moyano when Córdoba CF was drawing 1-1 with Recreativo Granada.

The Ghanaian and his other teammates fought well and netted their winning goal on the 90th minute courtesy a strike from Juanto Ortuno.

The Black Meteors leading striker made 25 appearances for Salamanca UDS in the Segunda B and bagged 10 goals. He will be hoping to open his goal-scoring account in Córdoba CF’s next match.
