Published on: 06 September 2019

Ghanaian youngster Jeremie Frimpong has started training with his new side Celtic after he was spotted at their training grounds on Thursday, September 5, 2019.

The 18-year-old joined the Scottish champions on a four-year deal from English Premier League giants Manchester City in a transfer worth a £1 million.

Frimpong was one of the highly-rated youngsters at the City youth sides but found it hard to break into the senior team.

He spent three years with the Citizens' Academy and was part of the side which reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy in the 2018/19 season.

He will jersey No. 30 for the Treble Treble winners.

Celtic will travel to play Hamilton Academical FC after the international break on Saturday, September 14, as Lennon's side look to make it five wins from five in the Premiership before the midweek trip to France the following Thursday.
