Ghanaian international Ishmael Yartey impressed on Monday evening by bagging the consolation goal for KPV Kokkola in their 2-1 defeat to Inter Turku in the Finish Veikkausliiga.

The former Black Starlets captain has been a revelation for the side this season and continues to treat fans to some exciting football.

Named on the team’s matchday starting lineup, the winger put up another good performance that saw him netting his third consecutive goal in the Finnish top-flight league.

Inter Turku took the lead on 4th minute through Timo Furuholm to send them into the second half in a comfortable lead.

With the match looking like it was headed for a draw, Yartey popped up to score a stunning goal on the 80th minute to restore parity for KPV Kokkola.

The losers could however not defend and concede seven minutes later courtesy a strike from Connor James Ruane.

Yartey’s fellow countryman Anthony Annan who joined Inter Turku this summer featured for the side in their win.
