A latest replay of the penalty incident in the Ghana v South Africa match has proven that indeed Daniel Amartey was fouled.

During Sunday’s Group G decided between the Black Stars and the Bafana Bafana at the Cape Coast Stadium, the hosts won 1-0 courtesy of a penalty kick converted by skipper Andre Ayew.

Even before the match ended, social media was buzzing with complaints from South Africans that it was not a penalty.

SAFA in particular expressed concern over the legitimacy of both the decision and the display of the officiating team from Senegal, headed up by referee Maguette Ndiaye.
