The Super Falcons of Nigeria put up a strong performance on Wednesday to defeat the Black Queens of Ghana 2-0 in the qualifiers to the 2022 African Women’s Cup of Nations.

The two giants of Africa women’s football are drawn in the playoffs of the qualifiers that will, unfortunately, see one missing next year’s continental showpiece.

With the first leg of the game played in Nigeria, the Super Falcons hosted the Black Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena stadium.

In a game that both sides fielded a strong team, a brace from Linkopings FC striker Uchenna Kanu scored in the 15th and 20th minutes respectively powered Nigeria to cruise to a delightful 2-0 win.

Now holding an advantage from the first leg, the Super Falcons must prepare for the reverse fixture.

The Ghana Black Queens are returning home and will also play host to the opponent on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
