If there was a better year for Cristiano Ronaldo than 2016, the Portuguese superstar would like to see it.
The Real Madrid striker scooped a Champions League winner's medal with his club, before leading his national side to their first ever international trophy at Euro 2016 and scooping the prestigious Ballon d'Or award ahead of fierce Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo was then further rewarded for his form and achievements last year by picking up FIFA's inaugural 'The Best' Award for Best Male Footballer at the glitzy bash on Monday evening.
The 31-year-old's son - Cristiano Jr. - was, as ever, in attendance to see his father pick up another personal accolade and, as Ronaldo posed for photographs after winning the gong, the six-year-old adorably yelled "O melhor do mundo! (You're the best in the world!) to recognise his dad's impressive feat.

If there's a cuter video so far this year, we're yet to see or hear about it. There's no doubting that Ronaldo will be an amazing role model to his son, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Cristiano Jr. follow in his dad's footsteps in the years to come.
