Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey's sublime strike for Arsenal in their 3-1 win over Tottenham in the North London derby has been nominated for Premier League best goals of match week eight.

Partey scored his first goal of the season for the Gunners at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

The 29-year-old lashed home an inch-perfect curling effort from 25 yards out 20 minutes into the north London derby to put the Gunners on their way to victory, which was his first goal for the club from outside the box.

The win sees Arsenal claim the three points and ensure that Mikel Arteta became just the third manager to win his first three home north London derbies alongside George Morrell and Terry Neill.

Partey, who has missed four games due to injury this season, including his side’s only defeat of the campaign so far at Old Trafford against Manchester United has made five league appearances for Arsenal this season and scored one goal in the process.
