New Zealand-born Ghanaian attacker Kwabena Appiah-Kubi emerged as the hero for Western United FC as he netted the winning goal to hand them a 2-1 win against in-form flying Sydney Wanderers.
The forward was featured in the home game for his side as they looked for 3 vital points in the Australian topflight league.
The away side took a deserved lead on the 5th minute through Mitchell Duke but a strike from Andrew Duurante restore the balance of the match before the halftime break.
Following a very good start to the second half, Kwabena Appiah-kubi grabbed the winning goal for Western United to help them bag all 3 points from the fixture against Sydney Wanderers.
