Ghanaian forward Ebenezer Assifuah emerged as the hero for Kedah Darul Aman FC after scoring to power the club to a crucial away win in the Malaysian Super League.
The former Ghana U20 star scored the only goal to propel his outfit to a narrow away win over Penang in the week 4 of the top-flight. It was his first goal for the club since joining in May.
Assifuah was introduced in the 70th minute and made the difference in the much-anticipated clash on Saturday.
The former Le Havre and FC Sion attacker needed just seven minutes to announce his presence in the crucial game.
It was Assifuah’s decisive goal in the 77th minute mark that distinguished the two teams, ensuring Kedah clinched all the three points.
He will be hoping to keep his scoring form in the Malaysian top-flight this season.
