Wednesday night's Kumasi derby between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal saw the two regional rivals share the points in a goalless draw.

The Match Week 22 clash of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League was postponed due to the Black Stars' match against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Despite the game being a stalemate, both teams showed their determination to win the game, with King Faisal forcing goalkeeper Frederick Asare to make some decent saves in the first half.

The Porcupine Warriors also made a number of changes in the second half, but neither side was able to break the deadlock.

As a result, Asante Kotoko missed the chance to move into the top four and fell short to Hearts of Oak on head-to-head. Both teams now have 39 points from 25 games.

King Faisal, who finished the game with 10 men after Abdul Latif was sent off 11 minutes before the end of the game, is currently 10th on the league log with 32 points.
