Ghanaian Forward Issah Abass continues to impress as he scores for GD Chaves against Santa Clara in round 29 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Abass had earlier come off the bench to score the winner in a previous game against Benfica. The 24-year-old former Black Meteors attacker was introduced in the 66th minute to replace Bernardo Sousa, with the game still tied at 0-0.

His impact was immediate as he scored a crucial goal in the 83rd minute, sweeping the ball into the net from the penalty area. His goal seemed to have sealed the win for Chaves, but their lead was short-lived as the home team equalized three minutes later through Bruno Jordao.

The match also had its moment of madness as Guima was sent off in added time for an argument that resulted in him getting booked in quick succession.

With this draw, Chaves moved up to the 10th position on the league table, while Santa Clara remained rooted at the bottom. Issah Abass has become an essential player for Chaves, consistently making an impact as a substitute. He has played in 21 league games so far, scoring four times.
