The game saw Gabon forward Denis Bouanga score a stunning long-range goal 11 minutes into the second half, leaving the Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper with no chance.
Bouanga's relentless pressure helped him regain possession, and his pass found Kwadwo Opoku, who converted the chance with ease in the 61st minute to double their lead.
Bouanga's magic continued, as he spun past his markers and fired in a beautiful goal four minutes later to wrap up the win. The victory gives Los Angeles Football Club a significant advantage ahead of the return fixture.
