Luis Garcia Plaza will not continue in his role as Villarreal CF manager. The club communicated their decision to relieve the 46 year-old of his duties on Tuesday afternoon via their official website.

His departure comes after a 3-0 defeat to Valencia CF at Mestalla on Saturday. The Yellow Submarine currently sit 19th in the LaLiga Santander table.
