Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the reigning champions of the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League, are gearing up for the upcoming season with ambitious plans to bolster their squad through player recruitment.

After their recent victory over Hasaacas Ladies in the league final, the team's Head Coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has emphasized the importance of strengthening the roster to compete in the upcoming WAFU Zone B competition and secure a place in the Women's CAF Champions League.

Coach Adarkwa has recognized the valuable lessons learned from last season's defeat to Bayelsa Queens in the WAFU Zone B Champions League qualifiers.

Speaking to Citi Sports, he emphasized the team's determination to enhance their chances of success through strategic player acquisitions.

Adarkwa stated, "Playing the final against Hasaacas Ladies, we now know that we have to beef up the squad, so we are working on certain players, and I am confident we will get them.

“We will go with a good squad, so we can play and get to the tournament proper, that is the CAF Women’s champions league.

“With this same crop of players, we can’t do anything over there, although we have quality amongst them, but we are going to do add-ons to the squad.”
