WAFU B U20 Girls Cup: Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi names squad for tournament

The head coach of the Ghana U20 team, Coach Yussif Basigi is ready with his team for the maiden edition of the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup.

The coach on Wednesday, May 17, named his squad of 20 players to do battle for the country.

Nicknamed the Black Princesses, the Ghana U20 Girls national team will be hoping to excel at the tournament to host and lift the trophy.

Coach Yussif Basigi and his girls in the last few weeks have been preparing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram ahead of the tournament.

On Wednesday, the Black Princesses of Ghana beat Niger 11-0 in the final friendly match.

The team is expected to depart Accra for Kumasi on Thursday, May 18.

Below is the squad named by coach Yussif Basigi for the tournament.

The WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup of Nations is scheduled from Saturday, May 20 – Saturday, June 3.

Ghana is in Group A and will battle with Benin and Ivory Coast.
