WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup: Emmanuel Toku handed call-up ahead of tournament

Former Black Starlets star Emmanuel Toku has been handed a call-up to Ghana U-20 team for next month's WAFU tournament to be staged in Togo.

The 18-year-old, who was born and raised in Kumasi plies his trade with Division Two side Cheetah FC and has been invited by coach Jimmy Cobblah who is preparing the Black Satellites for the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Toku was an integral part of the Black Starlets participation at the 2017 Fifa U-17 World Cup in India.

The highly-rated Ghanaian youngster also helped the team win silver at the 2017 Africa U-17 Championship which was held in Gabon.

After an impressive display at the World Cup, he revealed he has been contacted by Spanish club Barcelona in view of a move to Camp Nou.

Ghana have been paired in Group B alongside rivals Nigeria, Benin and Niger for the 2018 WAFU B U-20 Cup.

The skilful teenager will be looking to impress when the tournament kick-off in Togo.
