Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are closer to becoming champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season after defeating Dreams FC 2-0 on Sunday.
The team based in Kumasi all season has been stronger than the other participating clubs.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Porcupine Warriors hosted Dreams FC to battle for points on matchday 18 of the Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
In a game where the hosts failed to impress in the first half, the visitors were wasteful and failed to get a goal.
After recess, Asante Kotoko came into the game and upped their game. For the efforts of the side, they managed to score twice through top marksman Frank Etouga Mbella to secure a vital 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win has seen the Reds widening the gap at the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings and looks set to cruise to the end of the campaign as champions of the division.
