English Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Watford are interested in signing Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso this summer despite his underwhelming spell at Southampton, according to HSV24.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at the Saints, having joined them from Augsburg.

Despite adding depth to the St. Mary’s side, he could not earn consistent game time as he missed a chunk of the team’s games in the English Premier League.

Danso is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest and Watford as both clubs have set sights on signing him this summer to strengthen their squad

The central defender's contract with FC Augsburg will expire in 2024.

Hamburg SV, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Werder Bremen, and 1. FC Köln are reportedly interested in acquiring his services, however, VfB Stuttgart have pulled out of the race to sign him.

Parent club Augsburg could now look to cash in on Danso and, according to reports in Germany, they are not short of offers.

The Ghanaian is valued at £5.5 million.
