Watford boss Marco Silva was delighted with the goalscoring debut of Molla Wague for victory over Leicester City.

Wague's first Premier League start saw him net his maiden Watford goal and help the Hornets to their first victory since late November.

Silva stated: "He's been improving over the last few weeks in the training sessions and I gave him a chance, which he took.

"The first thing was to help our team. Molla is strong at defensive and offensive set-pieces. We wanted fast players, and he is fast.

"We know about players like [Jamie] Vardy and how quick he is. He gave everything I asked of him. A presence in the backline and strong in the challenge."

Silva also had praise for halftime substitute Stefano Okaka, hinting the striker could yet to stay beyond the January market.

"We may see more of him, we will see. We have another game in four days, so you'll have to see," he added.
