Watford striker Okaka wanted by host of Ligue 1 clubs

Watford flop Stafano Okaka is set to be offered an escape route from Vicarage Road by a series of Ligue 1 sides.

The 28-year-old is currently struggling to earn regular game time with the Hornets and could be allowed to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window.

Okaka started the season on good note and scored for his club to help them to a 3-3 draw against Liverpool.

However, since then he has made just one appearance and will surely want more game time.

Okaka was acquired from Belgian giants Anderlecht in 2016 and it was hoped that he would be able to provide valuable support to Watford club captain Troy Deeney.

However, he has failed to hit the ground running and has scored just four times in 20 appearances.

His less than impressive stats may lead to Watford loaning him out during the January transfer window.
