The former CEO of the Obuasi-based outfit has confidently stated that he and his colleagues achieved a lot together with the club since taking the role.
Acheampong recently tendered his resignation after a successful stint with the club, sending shock waves among fans and stakeholders. The reason for it is unknown.
In an interview with Kessben, he revealed a huge sacrifice he made for AshantiGold.
“In my time at AshantiGold [with my colleagues], we achieved a lot together. When I arrived, I felt that AshantiGold was a big club and deserved an improvement in the brand to become huge in the system. We made an effort in that area. There were even people I brought on board [for that] and paid them from my own pocket.”
