Accra Hearts of Oak's Public Relations Officer, Opare Addo, has publicly recognized the club's underperformance in the recent league season.

In an interview with Peace FM, as monitored by Footballghana.com, Addo admitted, "Last season did not go well, we all agree and admit that it did not go well."

The club had a challenging season, narrowly escaping relegation in the Ghana Premier League 2023/24 season. Despite the setbacks, Hearts of Oak are now shifting their focus towards the upcoming 2024/25 season, with plans to reinforce the squad with fresh talent.

Addo emphasized the importance of unity and support from all stakeholders in moving forward. "Management will put in place measures, or the board will decide on the direction we want to go. We will need the support of everybody," he said.

Despite the end of the league season, the club still has the Democracy Cup to play. The team had begun preparations, but due to a postponement, the training has been rescheduled to start on Saturday. The training will continue until the game on the 17th, after which the coach will grant the team a break.
