We appeal to GFA to suspend match officials who handled our game against Asante Kotoko - Hearts of Oak NCC Chairman Elvis Hesse

Hearts of Oak's National Chapters Committee (NCC) Chairman, Elvis Hesse, has launched a fervent appeal to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) urging them to suspend the match officials responsible for overseeing their recent clash with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

Speaking in the aftermath of Hearts of Oak's narrow 3-2 defeat in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League match week 14 showdown on Sunday, Hesse expressed profound discontent with the officiating.

Pointing to the contentious decision not to rule Asante Kotoko's second goal as offside, Hesse contends that this pivotal call altered the entire complexion of the game.

The chairman emphasized that the questionable officiating demands swift and decisive action, as he believes it had a direct impact on the outcome.

"We are appealing to the GFA as a matter of urgency suspend all the three or four match officials that officiated the Hearts of Oak v Kotoko match on Sunday from the middle man to the fourth referee everybody should be suspended and investigation carried out," he said.

"We the supporters believe that there was something hidden in that decision because it was so obvious that the assistant one I will like to put his name out for people to know Ali Baah that is the assistant one if he is listening to me we believe that that decision he should have prevented it.

"But because he knows what he was doing he insisted and collided with the other officials and they allowed that goal to stand if these referees are not suspended then I am sorry they should not be allowed to officiate any of our matches especially at home matches,"
