We are confident Maxwell Konadu can take us to the promised land – Black Leopards chairman

Black Leopards Football Club Chairman, Tshifhiwa Thidiela has noted that the task for coach Maxwell Konadu is to secure promotion with the club to the South African premiership.

According to him, the club is very confident that the Ghanaian coach can take the club to the promised land at the end of the 2024/25 football season in the Motsepe Championship in South Africa.

"With the Motsepe Championship, there is only one thing to play for, which is promotion and to achieve that we need to leave no stone unturned and to do that we need to have the best people in charge. We are very happy with Maxwell and we are confident that he can take us to the promised land,” Tshifhiwa Thidiela said in a club statement.

In the statement confirming that coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed as the new head coach, it said the Ghanaian has signed a three-year contract.

The former Asante Kotoko gaffer will work with Solly Luvhengo as his assistant.

“Black Leopards Football Club has appointed Ghanaian Maxwell Konadu as a head coach for the coming season. Konadu who has penned a three-year deal with 'Lidoda Duvha' holds CAF Coaching License A and a wealth of experience as he has previously coached teams like 24 times Ghana Premier League Champions Asante Kotoko SC.

“He will be assisted by Solly Luvhengo, Tendai Tanyanyiwa as the Goalkeeper Coach and Majaha Ndhlovu as the Physical Trainer,” the Black Leopards statement said.
